At the meeting were popular gaming influencers like Animesh Agrawal “8bit Thug“, Payal Dhare aka Payal Gaming “, Naman Mathur “Mortal” , Ganesh Gangadhar “SkRossi”, Anshu Bisht a.k.a. GamerFleet, and Mithilesh Patankar “MythPat”. They represent a diverse group of gamers who have a big say in the industry. Payal was happy to meet the Prime Minister and thought it was important to have this discussion.
Gaming is becoming a big deal in India. It’s ranked as the fourth-largest part of India’s media and entertainment scene. Experts say it’s growing fast and could reach Rs 231 billion by 2025.

India has a huge gaming community, with around 450 to 550 million gamers. And the money the industry makes keeps going up. In the last financial year, it made $3.1 billion, which is 19% more than the year before.
