Ashneer Grover, the Co-founder of BharatPe, has teamed up with Aseem Ghavri to introduce ZeroPe, a novel fintech application focused on streamlining medical bill payments. Developed by Delhi-based Third Unicorn, a venture established by Grover and Ghavri following Grover’s departure from BharatPe, ZeroPe aims to simplify the loan process and make healthcare payments effortless, according to its description on the Google Play Store.
ZeroPe’s platform offers financing options of up to Rs 5 lakh for medical expenses, leveraging a partnership with Delhi-based non-banking financial corporation (NBFC), Mukut Finvest, which serves as the startup’s lending partner. The emergence of ZeroPe comes as part of a growing trend in India’s fintech landscape, with startups like QubeHealth and SaveIn also providing instant financing solutions for medical emergencies.
In particular, QubeHealth, which facilitates financing for medical bills, is currently in the process of raising between $6-9 million in Series A funding. Meanwhile, Grover’s Third Unicorn previously secured between $3.5-4 million in funding, led by ZNL Growth Fund in February last year. Aseem Ghavri, Co-founder of Third Unicorn, brings valuable expertise to the venture, having previously led Code Brew Labs, an enterprise app development company responsible for designing BharatPe’s initial app.
With the launch of ZeroPe, Grover and Ghavri aim to revolutionize the healthcare payment landscape, providing individuals with accessible and efficient solutions for managing medical expenses.
